Your Financial Success Starts Here
Our approach combines financial guidance with emotional insight, helping you build a plan that feels empowering, freeing you to focus on what truly matters.
Our goal as your advisor is clear: to take things off your plate and allow you to focus on what's important. You want someone to ask questions to, gain insights and ultimately help you navigate an overly complicated industry. We’re not here to take control; we’re here to be your partner every step of the way.
We believe money should be a tool that enhances your life, not something that holds you back. Our approach focused on helping clients navigate the emotions, behaviors, and mindsets that influence financial decisions.By understanding the psychology of money, we empower clients to align their financial choices with their values and long-term goals
We start every relationship with the same question: what's going on that made you schedule time with a financial advisor?Once you decide you want to work together, we develop a plan before we open new accounts, transferring existing balances and implement your personal strategy. As life changes, we're only a call away to answer questions, provide reassurance and celebrate your milestones.
While we make money from managing your investments, we're way more invested in you the person. We charge 0.75% per year on the first $500,000 of your managed investments (split into quarterly payments). (0.35% on balances in excess of $500,001)This is the only way we’re paid. No commissions, no kickbacks, no conflicts of interest (except when your account grows so does our fee).
About ME
Money has always been part of Cory Nichols’ story. His early experience sparked a passion that has guided his entire career: helping people feel confident with money and free to focus on the life they want to live.
After nearly two decades in personal and corporate finance, Cory founded Yes Life Financial with one clear goal: to take the weight of financial uncertainty off families’ shoulders. His true measure of success isn’t in numbers—it’s in seeing clients align their money with their values, strengthen their relationships, and find peace of mind about the future.
Cory believes financial advice should feel approachable, not intimidating. He’s known for making complex decisions simple, creating space for honest conversations, and teaching clients that money isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. His background in both corporate and personal finance gives him the tools, but it’s his heart as a teacher and coach that makes his approach different.
At home in Richmond, Cory is a husband and dad to three kids who keep him busy. Inspired by his own family, he created Cash Camp, a financial literacy program that helps kids and parents learn about money together in fun, practical ways.
For Cory, financial advising isn’t just about investments and retirement—it’s about helping people say yes to the life they want, one decision at a time.

We don’t believe that how (and how much) your advisor is paid should be difficult to understand
We don’t believe that you can sell insurance products and give unbiased financial advice.
We don’t believe that your income or net worth is all that makes you an “ideal” client.
